What we should not forget is that the foundations for the students' subsequent Senior High School years are laid in Junior High School. Junior High School students should slowly, by emphasising the subject matter of each class, be taught all the materials coherently and comprehensively in order to acquire necessary knowledge that will allow them to attend Senior High School more comfortably. The recommended subjects for the 1st graders are:
- Ancient Greek
- Mathematics
- Modern Greek Language - Literature
