What is TOEIC?
The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is a test that examines the candidates’ language level in English. More specifically, it assesses their ability to understand and produce everyday speech in international business transactions. It is a multiple-choice questions test that evaluates the language level of candidates in English.
There are two different types of examination.
The TOEIC Listening & Reading Test consists of two comprehension tests equal in score which have a maximum total score of 990 points.
TOEIC Listening Comprehension
PART 1: photos (10 questions)
PART 2: questions - answers (30 questions)
PART 3: short dialogues (30 questions)
PART 4: short speeches (30 questions)
Duration: 45'
TOEIC Reading comprehension
PART 5: incomplete suggestions (40 questions)
PART 6: unfinished texts (12 questions)
PART 7: text comprehension (48 questions)
Duration: 75'
The score of each of the two parts ranges from 5 to 495. The overall score ranges from 10 to 990. No negative score. The total score results only from the sum of the points of the correct answers.
